Fully automated.

01

Order from TDL catalogue

Search the full TDL test catalogue. Select tests, set urgency, add clinical notes and fasting status. All fields flow directly into the HL7 ORM message.

02

HL7 dispatch via Azure

Medroid generates a structured HL7 ORM order message and uploads it to Azure Blob Storage. TDL retrieves and processes the order automatically.

03

Automatic result polling

Medroid polls Azure for incoming HL7 ORU result files on a configurable schedule. Results are parsed, structured, and stored against the patient record.

04

Review & flag abnormals

Out-of-range values are automatically highlighted. Clinicians review results, add clinical notes, and mark as reviewed — all tracked with timestamps.

Everything diagnostics needs.
Nothing it doesn't.

Built for real clinical lab and imaging workflows — not bolted onto a generic data tool.

TDL LIMS Integration

Direct connection to The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), one of the UK's largest independent LIMS providers. Orders submitted via HL7 ORM messages over secure Azure storage.

Full Test Catalogue

Search and order from the complete TDL test catalogue. Each test includes specimen type, turnaround time, fasting requirements, and clinical notes fields.

Abnormal Result Flagging

Results are parsed for reference ranges. Out-of-range values are automatically flagged and surfaced in the Abnormal Results filter for urgent clinician review.

HL7 Message Engine

Every lab order generates a structured HL7 ORM message. Results are received as HL7 ORU messages — processed automatically on arrival from the lab.

Azure-Powered Result Polling

Medroid polls Azure Blob Storage for incoming result files on a configurable schedule. Auto-cleanup of processed files. Zero manual file management.

Clinical Review Workflow

Clinicians review results with contextual review notes. Each review is time-stamped and linked to the patient's full clinical record.

Result PDF Download

Download structured lab result PDFs with complete reference ranges, flagged values, and provider notes — formatted for patient letters or clinical documentation.

Urgent Order Escalation

Mark orders as URGENT. Urgency is carried in the HL7 priority field to the lab and surfaced prominently in the results dashboard for provider action.

PACS / DICOM Imaging

Integrated PACS worklist powered by Orthanc. DICOM worklist files (.wl) are auto-generated per study order — compatible with any DICOM-capable modality.

Multi-Modality Support

X-Ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, PET, NM — all mapped to DICOM modality codes. Study Instance UIDs generated to the organisation's registered DICOM root.

DICOM Worklist Auto-Generation

On imaging order creation, a full DICOM worklist file is generated with patient demographics in DICOM format (LastName^FirstName^Middle) and study metadata.

Multi-Clinic Isolation

Lab and imaging data is fully isolated per clinic. Settings, TDL credentials, and Azure storage paths are configured independently per organisation.
