What is the TDL integration?

Medroid integrates directly with The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), one of the UK's largest independent medical laboratories. Orders are submitted as HL7 ORM messages via Azure Blob Storage and results are returned as HL7 ORU messages, parsed and stored automatically.

How does the PACS / DICOM system work?

When an imaging order is created, Medroid generates a DICOM worklist file with full patient demographics and study details in standard DICOM format. These files are written to an Orthanc-compatible worklist directory and picked up by the connected imaging modality automatically.

Are abnormal results flagged automatically?

Yes. Each HL7 result value is parsed against the reference range returned by the lab. Values outside normal range are automatically flagged with a HIGH or LOW indicator and surfaced in the Abnormal Only filter in the results dashboard.

Can I configure the Azure polling interval?

Yes. TDL settings per clinic include auto-send, auto-cleanup, and polling frequency configuration. You can also trigger manual polling from the results dashboard at any time.

What imaging modalities are supported in the PACS system?

All standard DICOM modalities are supported: CR (X-Ray), MR (MRI), CT, US (Ultrasound), PT (PET), NM (Nuclear Medicine), and more. Modality codes are passed directly in the DICOM worklist.
